Refunds & Returns

Cooling-off for online orders
Under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 you may cancel an online order without reason and without penalty within 7 days after you receive the goods. Contact theteam@chaincurtain.co.za with your order reference and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. The only charge you carry is the direct cost of returning the goods.
Our 15-day change-of-mind window
As our own shop policy, we also accept change-of-mind returns of unopened standard stock goods within 15 days after delivery, with proof of purchase. This applies to discounted goods too. It adds to, and never shortens, the statutory cooling-off period above.
Refunds and return postage
We refund the goods price and the delivery charge you paid for standard delivery. An express upgrade above standard delivery is not refundable on a change-of-mind return. You pay the direct return postage for a change-of-mind return. Ask us for the correct return address before dispatch; the addresses on this site are administration addresses, not return addresses.
Refunds go to the original payment method within 30 days after we receive the returned goods, as section 44 requires, and usually much sooner. We do not apply a cancellation or handling fee.
Custom-made orders
Goods made to your measurements or clearly personalised are excluded from change-of-mind returns. A standard black or silver curtain in the listed stock size is a standard stock item. Custom quotations state the agreed specification and terms before you order.
Faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods
The Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 gives you an implied warranty of quality. Within 6 months after delivery you may return goods that are defective, unsafe or not fit for their purpose, and choose a repair, a replacement or a refund. These rights are separate from change-of-mind returns. Contact us promptly with the order details and photographs of the issue. We cover reasonable return costs where the goods are faulty or misdescribed.
